Summer Reading Program 2023: All Together Now

This summer Lindsay is excited to share her latest picture book, THE NOTE WHO FACED THE MUSIC, with young readers! School Library Journal called it “a hilarious story about musical notes and the value of everyone.”
Half Note doesn’t feel whole. With two beats, she isn’t as big and beautiful as Whole Note, or as quick and upbeat as Quarter Note. She worries she’ll never measure up! So when the other members of the musical staff are at rest, she picks up like a fast tempo and leaves. But Composer and the staff can’t play anything noteworthy without Half Note. Their only hope is to convince their friend to change her tune and come back. This hilarious tale will strike a chord with anyone who’s felt out of sync, ringing with reassurance that everyone has a part to play when working as a team.
As always, Lindsay’s program will include LOTS of audience participation, including sound effects and movement, as we work together to bring Half Note’s story to life! Books will be available for purchase at the conclusion of the program, and Lindsay will be happy to autograph and personalize them.
*Lindsay will also offer a program of interactive folktales featuring the themes of kindness, friendship and unity. Stay tuned for more details!*
